It can be overwhelming to walk into a tile showroom and make a selection, whether it be flooring, kitchen backsplash, or tiling a complete bathroom, choosing tile is not always easy!
It doesn’t matter if you are building a new home or renovating your existing home, before you even walk in to the store do your research on the type of tile you need for each room.
Once you have done your homework, or better yet have your South Tampa builder do it for you, then you can choose the design and color of your tile.
Wet areas, such as a kitchen or bathroom need an impermeable tile, not a porous one. Floors need tiles with more flexural strength than tiles used for walls. Tile on a countertop needs to resist acids and impact and the list goes on. Also, keep in mind that price is not always a good indicator of the quality of the tile.
P.S. My favorite is the last photo, which is a glass tile and suitable for a backsplash in the kitchen or an accent wall in a bathroom.
